Hailuoto Theater Festival

Hailuoto offers a maritime setting and original performance venues. The program is enjoyed in the tranquility of old buildings and seascapes. In addition to the festival's creators, the elements of surprise are taken care of by the forces of nature, sometimes also trying to handle the work of the sound or lighting master. The sky can add its own effects to the performances, such as rain, thunder or scorching snow. Sometimes there is a visiting star among the performers: a seagull. In the words of the poet Risto Ahti: "One who sees what he sees is considered a great master."
