  • Kotipesä kuntoon -project

The "Kotipesä kuntoon " project is a co-development initiative carried out by the Hailuodon elinkeinotoimijat Association in Hailuoto. The goal of the project is to create a common strategy, an annual marketing calendar for the Hailuodon elinkeinotoimijat Association (marketing name Visit Hailuoto), to implement joint marketing on a trial basis, and to further develop services. During this two-year project, a new operating model will be created for Visit Hailuoto to be implemented during the project and to be utilized and further developed even after the project ends. In the first year, the needs of the participants will be mapped, and a common strategy and annual marketing calendar will be created for Visit Hailuoto together with the operators. Additionally, training and workshops on topics such as social media marketing will be offered to the participants. In the second year of the project, these strategic measures will be put into practice to see how they work. The measures also include implementing joint marketing through short-term, trial marketing actions to boost tourism in Hailuoto. As the customer flow increases, the residents, part-time residents, and tourists of the island will benefit from the increased services. Through these marketing experiments, the overall marketing of Hailuoto can be further developed by identifying the most effective measures to reach the target groups defined at the beginning of the project. The primary target group of the project consists of the member companies of the Hailuoto Economic Operators Association and all other operators who decide to join the project. The beneficiaries, in addition to the aforementioned, include the municipality of Hailuoto, other companies and operators in the area, as well as the residents, part-time residents, and tourists of the island through the expansion and development of services. The project implementation area is the municipality of Hailuoto. Implementation period: April 1, 2024, to March 31, 2026. The project is funded by the Nouseva Rannikkoseutu Association and participants in Hailuoto and the surrounding areas.
